Lindsay & Loren are Getting Married!!

Loren arranged (with a lot of white-lie telling from me) to have Lindsay come to So. Cal. for a "surprise".  I got her here with the pretense of watching the twins while Kirk and I went to Las Vegas to see Garth Brooks.  It worked perfectly!  I picked up Loren from the airport at noon, we finished last minute preparations so when Lindsay came home with Kirk that night - Loren was all neatly "wrapped up" with the biggest surprise of her life!  It turned out awesome - our planning paid off and hats off to everyone for keeping a secret - since really I think the whole world knew about it :)  The ring is drop-dead gorgeous - Lindsay will make a beautiful bride.  Congratulations Lindsay and Loren ... so excited for you to start your life together.  We love you!

 

  

 

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Jordan & Jasmin!

We got to celebrate Jordan and Jasmin's 12th birthday this weekend!  It was a four day weekend for them - it started off with Jordan and Jasmin attending the Valentine's dance at school then Jacob spending the night with Jordan - a lot of video games happened that night!  Jasmin and I got to spend the day together on Friday getting our nails done and eating lunch at Wahoo's - yummy!  Then she got to spend some time hanging out with Brooklyn watching Breaking Dawn.  Saturday was spent relaxing with family - love those grandkids!  Then to top off the day, we went to Bari Bari for dinner - always a treat to go there.  Happy Birthday Jordan & Jasmin!!

The Most Wonderful Event - A Girl's Dream

The day before the wedding - there was a horrible rain storm.  The morning of the wedding we perfect - sun shining.  The temple was beautiful and Stephanie's dream came true.  We transformed the tennis court into a winter wonderland - complete with a see-through room covered with white twinkling lights.  It was beautiful!  Thanks to all our family and friends who shared this wonderful day with all of us.   We are so excited to have Ryan part of our family!

STEPHANIE & RYAN'S WEDDING

Stephanie and Ryan got engaged in August 2010 and chose December 30, 2010 for their wedding. After countless hours agonizing and preparing, I have to say it was a "perfect" day! The rain managed to quite just for the special day - giving us quite a scare. We covered the tennis court with a see-through tent, covered with little white lights. It was amazing - looking up you felt like there were stars everywhere. The sealing in the San Diego temple was amazing as well- Steph was very calm and collected. What a special day for two very special people - we love you Ry & Steph!

UNIVERSITY OF UTAH

Lindsay is loving it in Utah (or at least that is what she tells me!) Round 1 of being homesick has come and gone pretty quickly - it is hard to be away from home when you are sick! Her dorm room is really pretty cute - and roomy since she has her own room. I have been up there twice since she has been gone and will go again this coming Conference weekend. So all is good - EXCEPT it is way to quiet here on the homefront! We miss our little girl a lot - and I definitely miss hanging out with her and going to lunch :( Love you Lindz!!!!

Welcome Brody! Our precious little grandson arrived at 10:22 p.m. - and once we got the phone call - of course I didn't sleep the rest of the night! We are so excited!!!! Grandma (or maybe "Grammie"???) left Wednesday (could hardly wait one whole day!) and Papa left Friday. We got to spend some quality time with Brody. All day Friday ... I just held him and stared at him like I used to with our little ones. He looks so much like Sean! He is perfect - doesn't EVER cry even. It warms my heart to see what good parents Sean and Christine are. I have already decided that monthly visits to SLC are warranted!
